As a Painter working in oils on canvas I develop work through self–directed projects, which are socially engaged with the public, as well as through commissions with private individuals. My work consists of singular compositions substantiated by studies made from life. The subject of my paintings is often a person or persons that I have met and my work is dependent upon the creative exchange between us. I particularly enjoy working in the realm of portraiture because I take great pleasure in collaborating with the subject and producing something that is personal to them. |

Latest ProjectMy latest project involved a week–long residency at the Victoria Quarter in Leeds. The idea motivating the project was to bring my work into the public realm and to talk to people about my art.
